The Dale County Sheriff's Mounted Posse was started in 2014 by a group of civilian volunteers. Members of the Sheriff's Posse volunteer their time, horses, and equipment to serve their community. Members of the Sheriff's Posse provide mounted and ground support in search and rescue operations as well as perform demonstrations and other civic functions within the community.
The Sheriff's Posse is self-sustaining and fully supported and operated by it's members, donations and fundraisers at no cost to the tax payer.
